Pathways to Internationalizing Short Films
ACTIVITY OPEN TO THE PUBLIC
Jaime E. Manrique (Bogoshorts, Colombia), Calmin Borel (Clermont-Ferrand International Short Film Festival, France), and Pedro Gonçalves Ribeiro (IndieLisboa, Portugal) investigate strategies, challenges, and opportunities for the international circulation of short films. Through their experiences with international festivals, screenings, markets, and platforms, we discuss the conception of works with global potential, planning, submissions, and networking.

Victor Hugo Pires
Victor Hugo Pires holds a degree in Film and Audiovisual Studies and has worked in the sector for 10 years, with experience in Distribution and Executive Production, specializing in business analysis. At Spcine, he was responsible for structuring the Spcine Observatory, an organization responsible for producing intelligence from audiovisual sector data obtained through the company's initiatives. He is responsible for the conception and promotion of the Spcine Forum, an annual event that brings together experts from Brazil and around the world to discuss the audiovisual sector and publish the Agenda of Priorities for the Audiovisual Sector.

Calmin Borel
General delegate of the Clermont-Ferrand Short Film Festival. He coordinates the Labo competition and is also part of the selection committees for the International Competition and Labo.
Jaime E. Manrique
Founder and director of LABORATORIOS BLACK VELVET (25 years), a comprehensive film management company. Founder and director of BOGOSHORTS – Bogotá Short Film Festival, and creator of exhibition and distribution strategies: BOGOSHORTS Movement and BOGOSHORTS Film Agency. Film analyst in the media and professor at various universities in Latin America. Consultant in film communication and distribution.
Pedro Gonçalves Ribeiro
Pedro Gonçalves Ribeiro (Belo Horizonte, 1993) is a film director, producer, and festival programmer, and is the short film coordinator for IndieLisboa. He is an alumnus of the Filmmaking program at Elías Querejeta Zine Eskola and holds a Master's degree in Moving Image from the Faculty of Fine Arts of the University of Lisbon.
