Does short film generate financial returns or is it merely a calling card for a feature film? This panel deconstructs the myths surrounding the commercialization of short films, bringing together the main links in the chain – from specialized streaming to high-end production, including international distribution and pay TV – to reveal the real monetization opportunities, market values, and sales strategies that work today.

    A communications professional specializing in the audiovisual market. Has participated in the distribution process for short and feature-length films, both fiction and documentaries.

    Content and Project Acquisition Coordinator - Canal Brasil


    Content and Project Acquisition Coordinator at Canal Brasil, she has worked in the pay-TV and VOD market since 2015, focusing on Brazilian cinema.


  • Daniel Jaber

    Director - School of Fish


    Actor, director, and co-founder of Cardume, a short film streaming service. At Cardume, he is the Executive Director and coordinates the technical, financial, and business intelligence teams.

  • Lidia Damatto

    Founding Partner - MoreThanFilms


    Founding partner of More Than Films, specializing in international sales and film distribution. Manager of Locarno Industry Academy Brazil and consultant for festivals, markets, and internationalization.

  • Luciana Damasceno

    Director - School of Fish


    Screenwriter, actress, and filmmaker. Co-founder of Cardume, she serves as head curator for the platform and for Cine Cardume Rodoviária and São Tomé. Her career spans cinema, video dance, and performing arts.

    Priscilla Ferri is a content and audiovisual executive with over 20 years of experience in television and various areas of the audiovisual industry. As Senior Content Manager at Warner Bros. Discovery, she has worked on the development, evaluation, and support of short film projects through initiatives such as FACIUNI, Kinoforum Labs, and Narrativas Negras Não Contadas (Untold Black Narratives). Passionate about the format, she believes in short films as a space for innovation, experimentation, and the discovery of new talent.
