TELL US YOUR SHORT FILM

CLOSED ACTIVITY FOR REGISTERED PARTICIPANTS ONLY

August 22nd and 23rd, 2026 - Saturday and Sunday, 1:30 PM to 6:00 PM

Lygia Fagundes Telles Room - CURTA & MERCADO ROOM

In partnership with Kinoforum, the Sala de Roteiro Marginal collective brings back to the Festival the project “Tell Your Short Film,” an initiative for residents of the outskirts of the city over 18 years of age with little or no experience in audiovisual production and screenwriting. After applications were submitted in July 2026, 8 short film screenplays were selected which, during the Festival, will receive mentoring in screenwriting development and project structuring, with a view to raising funds for production. Understood as a way to empower people through learning from more experienced individuals in the field, the initiative brings together mentors with expertise in technical, theoretical, and artistic areas related to audiovisual production, while the mentees are beginners in these crafts.
