From Festivals to the Market: How film festivals boost film distribution and strengthen the audiovisual ecosystem.
The panel will address the strategic role of film festivals in launching and circulating audiovisual works, highlighting their contribution to strengthening production, distribution, and exhibition.
It will also discuss the importance of festivals in promoting new narratives and short films as a fundamental step in the development of the audiovisual industry, as well as presenting strategies for audience development, encouraging moviegoing, and opportunities for networking and generating new business for the sector.

Filmmaker, PhD from USP and graduated in Cinema from UFF. He has directed award-winning short films and is finishing his first feature film. He coordinates Primeiro Plano - Juiz de Fora Film Festival and Mercocidades.
Lyara Oliveira
Contemporary Experience / More Women Institute - Founder and CEO / Vice-President of More Women
Executive producer and consultant with 25 years of experience in the audiovisual industry. She was president of Spcine. She holds a PhD from USP and is currently a professor at ESPM and vice-president of the Mulheres Institute.
Marcio Blanco Chavez
Director - Peripheral Visions Festival
Curator and Director of the Visões Periféricas Festival. Professor of audiovisual studies and member of the Postgraduate Program in Communication at the Federal University of Mato Grosso do Sul (UFMS).
Vânia Silva
Vânia Silva is the Executive Director of the Kinoforum Cultural Association and Director of Kinoforum – São Paulo International Short Film Festival. She has over 19 years of experience in cultural project management, with expertise in strategic planning, fundraising, institutional management, and project development for the audiovisual sector. She was a reviewer for Pro-Mac and a member of the Project Selection Committee for the Paulo Gustavo Law, through Spcine.
