ACTIVITY OPEN TO THE PUBLIC
What are the main differences between theatrical and audiovisual acting? How to conduct a creative process with actors in filmmaking? This theoretical and practical workshop will present basic concepts, techniques, and possibilities for directing work with actors in audiovisual media. Note: The workshop is focused on directors, not actors. The intention is to teach "how to direct actors," not "how to act for film."
Speakers:
Sabrina Greve
Director and actress, with a Master's degree in Audiovisual Media and Processes from the University of São Paulo - USP and a Bachelor's degree in Social Communication/Cinema from FAAP. She directed two feature films: *O Porão da Rua do Grito* (screened at the 46th São Paulo International Film Festival, Fantaspoa - 23, Macabro XXII) and *As aparências enganam* (Star Distribution Brasil). She was one of the directors of the series *Além do Guarda-Roupa* (Episodes 2, 5 and 9), available on HBO-Max, and also directed the TV movie *Irina* (2012) for TV Cultura. In 2010, she directed one of the segments of the project *Fucking Different São Paulo*, selected for the Panorama section of the 60th Berlinale Film Festival.
As an actress, she performed in theatrical productions directed by Antunes Filho and made her film debut in Uma vida em Segredo (2001), directed by Suzana Amaral. Since then, she has acted in films, soap operas, and series, notably the series Desalma I and II, the films O Duplo, Carandiru, Nina, Olga, and the soap operas Além do Horizonte, Cristal, A casa das sete mulheres, Crime Time - Hora de Perigo. She has received 17 awards for best actress at various film festivals, including: APCA, 28th Huelva Film Festival, 34th Brasília Film Festival, 40th Gramado Film Festival, 12th and 26th Cine Ceará.
